A sanctuary for the worship of a hero. These are often enclosures, which may be associated with the `hero's' tomb, or home, but do not generally have the temple and cult statue which are normal for worship of Olympian gods. Sacrifice was also managed differently with offerings made to the earth rather than burnt on an altar.
