Mythical King of Argos. Hera made Herakles his slave and it was nominally for Eurystheus that the Labours were performed, and some of the quarries (monsters) had to be brought to Argos. Eurystheus himself appears only when the Erymanthian Boar is delivered, terrified (and, once, before Cerberus).
