Lekythoi

Lekythoi: one-handled flasks for perfumed oil. The narrow aperture prevented evaporation of the valuable contents.
The Deianeira lekythos is elongated and has a round shoulder. The lekythos with an offset shoulder appeared around 560, and the cylindrical lekythos around 530.
The earliest squat
lekythoi are dated around 500. The shape remained popular until the early
fourth century.
